The forecast said Kp 5 and clear skies after midnight. We drove east out of Tromsø until the town's glow was gone, parked by a frozen lake and waited with the engine off.

Compiled once
Kort turns the filter lists into WebKit content rules. Every tab shares the same compiled rules.

Each request is checked inside WebKit's own loader. Ads and trackers are dropped before they are fetched.

Nothing to install
No extension needed. The network blocking runs in WebKit, not as a script in every page. Blocked files are never downloaded.

Search without AI Overviews.

Kort hides Google's AI Overviews and the AI Mode button, so results start with results. AI answers on Ecosia are hidden too, and DuckDuckGo searches go to its no-AI version.

Tab Archive
Tabs you have not looked at for a while (7 days unless you choose otherwise) close into an Archive you can search and restore from. Kept 30 days by default. Essentials, pinned, playing and split tabs stay.
Lock a Space
Any Space can lock behind Touch ID or your password, Face ID on iPhone and iPad. It locks again after a delay you choose and when the Mac sleeps.
Settings per Space
Each Space can have its own search engine, turn content blocking on or off, and set camera, microphone and location defaults.
Quick Window
A link from another app can open in a small window, signed in as in the Space it belongs to. Read it and close it, or move it into a Space as a tab. Off by default.
More windows, same Spaces
New Window on These Spaces opens a second window onto the same Spaces and tabs. A Blank Window keeps your sign-ins, and its tabs are never saved.

Swipe the address bar to change tabs. Send a link from any app with "Open in Kort" in the share sheet.

Is Kort free?

No. Kort costs 5 €$5£4.99CHF 559 kr59 kr39 kr22,99 zł129 Kč2 490 Ft, once, and you keep it. There is no subscription, no ads and no data deal paying for it instead. Price in your currency; local taxes may apply at checkout.

Does Kort collect anything about me?

No. There is no telemetry and no account. To check your license, the app sends the key and a random, hashed id for your iCloud device group. We never see your Apple ID, your history or the pages you visit.

Why no AI?

A browser sees everything you read. We think it should show pages, not read them for someone else. Kort has no assistant. It also hides AI Overviews on Google by default, and AI answers on Ecosia and DuckDuckGo.

Can I use my extensions?

Many of them. Kort installs extensions from the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons through WebKit, with a permission review. Some extensions need APIs WebKit does not offer yet.

What about my passwords?

Password manager extensions such as Bitwarden and Proton Pass work today. Apple Passwords autofill and passkeys are coming; they need Apple signing first.

Which devices does it run on?

Mac, with macOS 15.4 or later. The iPhone and iPad app is coming to the App Store. One license covers all devices on one iCloud account.

Why WebKit and not Chromium?

WebKit is Apple's engine, the one inside Safari. On a Mac and an iPhone it is fast, easy on the battery and updated with the system.
